Here you go.

I can tell you that timber is: 2a c : a curving frame branching outward from the keel of a ship and bending upward in a vertical direction that is usually composed of several pieces united. And…shiver is 2 : to tremble in the wind as it strikes first one and then the other side (of a sail) transitive senses : to cause (a sail) to shiver by steering close to the wind. (Merriam-Webster online).

: Shiver me/my timber.I can’t find any authority to agree, but I thought that this was another saying derived from sailing ships. It certainly seems firmly attached to pirates. I think the saying represents the shock of a large wave hitting a wooden ship broadside and causing the hull to shudder. In other words, it expresses shock or surprise.

Shiver My Timbers! … (expletive denoting surprise or disbelief)
Presumably, this expression alludes to a ship’s striking a rock or shoal so hard that her timbers shiver. The expression was first seen in 1834 in the novel _Jacob Faithfully_ by Frederick Marryat. In 1881, Robert Louis Stevenson found it to be the perfect exclamation for the irascible Long John Silver: “So! Shiver me timbers, here’s Jim Hawkins!” This stereotypical expletive became extremely popular with writers of sea yarns and Hollywood swashbucklers.

Al Sharpton on Paris Hilton???

I agree with you a bit on Sharpton but in this case I’m on his side as it concerns to Paris Hilton. I’m not a proponent of Sharpton because he wasn’t heard from when a white man was suckered punched at a McD’s by a black guy or he wasn’t heard from when a […]

I agree with you a bit on Sharpton but in this case I’m on his side as it concerns to Paris Hilton. I’m not a proponent of Sharpton because he wasn’t heard from when a white man was suckered punched at a McD’s by a black guy or he wasn’t heard from when a WWII vet was getting a beat down by a black car jacker. The black leaders turn their head when its black on white crime but god forbid Imus make a poor joke about a team of women. If these guys weren’t such hypocrites it would be easier to accept their side on some issues but since they are just as racist as the people they crucify then I take everything he says with a grain of salt.

Paris on the other hand is not bright and average at best with her looks. Skinny chicks with big noses and disproportionate figures don’t do much for me. I can go to the local mall and find women who are better looking and actually have some brain cells firing. At least now when she is in prison she will know the real ’simple life’. She was living it and now it was taken away from her. She has no idea until now just how simple her life is. Grow up. Your getting to be to old to act like a complete idiot.

My favorite and most memorable are totally different, LOL, I’ll tell you some time.

Anyways, my favorite times have always been with my kids. For both of them, it started when they were toddlers, and I have fond memories of many occasions with them. My son put a hook in my thumb while I was baiting his hook when he was 3 (he’s almost 21 now), I still have the scar, and I still smile when I think about that trip. I took my daughter (stream) trout fishing, just me and her, and she cast into a deep pool along a curve of the bank, and BAM, 5 pound brown, (okay, it was a stocked one, but still…). The kids and I have fished trout, walleye, flounder, lakers, salmon, bass, northern and many more together, so much fun, I can’t pick just one favorite time.

Good job on your bass this weekend, it’s fun to catch a 5+ pounder, especially in northern waters.

Good luck fishing your next time out :-)

Any opinions on Urban Profiles Model & Talent LLC in Newark, NJ?

Well, according to the SBA, they took out a 50,000 loan in 2005 ( http://www.sba.gov/loans/businessdetail/output/2005/busnj.html ) Other than that, they don’t appear to come up in any online searches, which concerns me. Many times “agencies” and “model managers” change their names when people find out that they are doing crooked business.

The fact that no model profiles on OMP, and no models’ portfolios in general come up in a search for this company throws me some red flags.

If a place is actually getting models work, and working with models, etcetera… then models WILL list them as having “worked with” (atleast). Even if they’re scam agencies, models will list people and companies they have worked with (which is why you should ask for references, “worked with” may not be a good experience)!

I would ask this company what other names they have done business as. I am pretty sure that “urban profiles model and talent LLC” is probably not their main “doing business as” name.

can you put a green anole lizard in with gekos?

There are a few different geckos that you can put with your green anoles. Not all geckos will do, only those of a similar size and calm mild-mannered temperament should be mixed. House geckos get up to 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches long and share a similar diet to the green anoles. Unlike the […]

House geckos get up to 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches long and share a similar diet to the green anoles. Unlike the green anole though, they are nocturnal and not diurnal. So as the anoles are up and awake and active the house geckos will be fast asleep. This can work out so long as you make sure not to seriously disturb the house geckos sleeping pattern and avoid sharp drops in temperature at night. The minimum night temperature should be 65F.

If you’re weary about the nocturnal/diurnal mixture then I would suggest going with one or two small day geckos of the same species (preferably female). Gold dust day geckos, peacock day geckos and leaf-tail day geckos should fair well with green anoles. You will have to supplement their diet with bannana and/or peach and/or mango baby food (preferably mixed with calcium/D3 powder) once a week. This is absolutely fine as the green anoles will also accept it as part of their diet.

Aside from geckos you may also keep green anoles with brown anoles, pigmy skinks, asian long-tailed grass lizards, and treefrogs. Make sure to thoroughly research any lizards before purchasing so that you may properly accommodate to their needs. And when getting a new lizard to introduce to the community it is always best to quarantine it for about a week to a month and make sure that they take a visit to the vet. Most captive lizards are caught from the wild and may have parasites.

am i above or below average?

and not all tall people, but remember, muscle weighs more than fat. if you work out, play sports, etc, you will have far more muscle than fat.

Do the grey projector screens make that much of a difference with letterbox movies for a projector?

Choice of a grey screen versus a white screen does not consider the projected image format, i.e., 16:9, 4:3 or letterbox. The issue at hand, involves several factors, which are not limited to: choice of technology: LCD vsDLP, video luminence, surrounding light, size of viewing screen, etc. A very definitive and insightful website which you should consider visiting for setting up a large painted screen is: www.goosystems.com. I would highly recommend using Goo paints since the cost of the paint is very affordable. On the other hand, should you choose to purchase a hi-gain gray screen [Optima brand], you should be made aware that already very bright DLPs could be brightened too much (such as the highly recommended Infocus Screenplay* projectors, in which case, choose a no increase gain screen).

Good luck!

Going to Six Flags tomorrow. What do I wear?

It all depends on what your school considers appropriate. I would go with either board shorts, basketball shorts, or short cloth shorts. All depends what your more comforable in. I personally like basketball shorts: http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/advancedSearch.cfm?SID=7995&inceptor=1&module=sideNav&action=keywordSearch&search=k&keyword=womens+basketball+shorts&cm_mmc=SEM-_-Engine-_-Yahoo-_-womens+basketball+shorts Because they are more comfortable to be in if your wet. can be a bxtxh when they’re wet but you’re not in water. And Short cloth shorts:
http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10251_10201_406115_-1_12596_12552
when wet stick to your legs really bad. So that may feel or look awkward. As for a top, I would go with A tank top something like this: http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10251_10201_402906_-1_12607_12552
if its school appropriate.

(: hopeihelped.

Oh! And as for your money, either bring a drawstring bag or, when you get there they have these little canister kinda of things on necklaces so you can bring it around with you. It mak seem kinda loserish, but that’s what I did, and it wasn’t all that bad.

Fantasy Basketball Trade Advise: Calderon and Anthony Parker for Andre Miller and Raymond Felton?

Team 1 is good. They score 10-15 points each and both hit the long ball well. Calderon has been assist like crazy lately and is near the top in the league now. I would be happy getting these 2 right now, BUT i would be weary about TJ Ford. Calderon is filling in at the starting PG spot for Ford, who has been cleared to play again. Ford is coming back from the spinal injury and it taking it slow. Ford was the starter before, so i would assume he would get his job back. Calderon would still get big mins, but his numbers might drop. Another thing i would be concerned about is that Calderon and Parker are on the same team. Calderon will get you assist, but he and Parker might share the scoring load. Beside Bosh in Toronto there isnt a stand-out scorer so one night Calderon might jump out, the next Parker, then Delfino.

And like i said before Miller is having a pretty good season. I think he is putting up career scoring numbers with still 6 assist. Felton is struggling but getting like 8-15ppg with 5-8 assist.

I would say Team 1 wins a close one. I would try to get someone different to pair with Parker, unless you are trading them away.

good luck
