Hi Angel,
No, the mind is not separate from the body; they work together.
Our Central Nervous System begins in our mind (brain), travels down our spine, and branches out to every part of the body. If we damage the mind, the body becomes damaged also. If we put our hand in fire, we feel pain because our body sends signals to the brain.
If you want to talk about the mind in a psychological sense, people who become severely depressed emotionally, often feel physical effects in their bodies, such as loss of appetite, muscle aches, fatigue.
In reverse, people who suffer bodily damage such as the loss of a limb, for example, often have personality changes, such as depression, anger, etc.
Stress on the mind can cause many illnesses in the body, such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, even cancer.
The body & mind are one. They work together, and one feels the effects of the other.
